Are you considering setting up a large video wall display in your business, for a conference or for a trade show? If you so, the 82 inch Large-Screen LCD wall from NEC may be perfect. The NEC 82” Large-Screen LCD wall delivers a super professional performance on its large screen for both corporate and digital signage purposes. It provides a landscape view and its size is quite awe inspiring in person (as it’s almost 6 feet long and 3 feet high.) It’s bound to catch the attention of your perspective audience where you take it. To boot, it’s also high-definition, so your audience will be shocked at the picture you are able to use.
The NEC 82 inch large screen lcd wall has a high brightness feature that helps with ambient light and leads to less distractions while viewing and because of the fantastic contrast (2000:1), the blacks are deeper and the color depth is improved. Some other advantages include thermal protection fan-based technology and internal temperature sensors.
Because it’s NEC, it includes TileMatrix technology- this means you can create video walls with as many as 16 displays. And like all TileMatrix systems it works in tandem with TileCompex to create the perfect bezel. The end result is a seamless video wall. It’s absolutely stunning.
The NEC 82” Large Screen LCD wall can work in both portrait or landscape mode and include the wall calibrator, which is an automatic adjustment tool for multiple displays that help to create an amazing illusion of a single large display. Using xtraview, you can count on wide viewing angles and ambibright means automatic adjustment of the backlight so that the monitor enters power-saving mode when lighting falls below a predetermined value.
Another nice feature is called ‘Rapid response.’ The perks of rapid response is that it displays is that it provides ultra fast response times (in some cases as low as 4 ms.) This means you can deliver streaming video without that ghosting or blurring effect that you might catch on other screens , you can achieve as many as 250 frames per second. This means you can even use this screen for gaming or web video streaming

applications. All this is possible with a one touch feature too, called NTAA or No Touch Auto Adjust which allows the monitor’s image setting to adjusted to optimal setting upon initial power on- SWEET! And while it’s price may not be for the faint of heart, those who do decide to place their bet on NEC’s top of the line technology won’t be disappointed. Gaming Displays

So you love to play video games, right?  Awesome, me too!  But I can tell you this, if you are using a typical TV, even a 1080p, then you are missing out on the best action you can possibly find.  Real gamers use real gaming displays.  So what’s the difference between a

TV (especially a high quality TV, like a 1080p LED) vs. a true gaming display?  Well gaming displays often use multiple monitors to create a really spectacular gaming environment.    In many cases, you can use multiple monitors to create a horseshoe like effect which makes a near 3D environment that will add to any gaming experience.  Gaming displays are also an awesome way to improve you gaming experience and improve your gaming stats.  If you can imagine creating an environment that wraps around your head, so you can make full use of your peripheral vision. The effect will be crushing to any opponent and will allow you to achieve much larger gaming goals as well.  Using gaming displays are a great way to do this.

Of the few people I know that are really high quality gamers, most of them use special gaming displays that are geared towards whatever type of games they like to play.  For example, my friend that is really into FPS (first person shooter) games all likes to use the horseshoe configuration, similar to what I mentioned above.  On the other hand, a number of my friends are into RPGs and prefer to create a wall gaming display.  I guess it is easier for that friend to maneuver around maps and he enjoys the large action shots during battle.

I recently went over to another friend’s house so we could discuss the differences between some of the types of gaming displays that are available.  He told me that his gaming display configuration is constantly changing because each setup has its own advantages.  This makes sense, but I thought that rearranging a gaming display might be a bit of a time consuming task.  According to my friend, however, it is really not quite as bad you might think.  He is able to create his gaming display of choice in a matter of minutes by using a few monitors (6 to be exact) and a couple of different monitor array stands.  Pretty cool, eh?

Another guy that I saw using a great gaming display had two 40 inch LED 1080p screen setup side by side.  Now I know I said this wasn’t optimal, but the way they were setup was kind of neat.  He wanted to be able to play co-op style video games with his friends side by side.  Games like Dead Island and Portal 2 (co-op) are way cool if you have the full screen to operate, but you don’t have to worry about sharing a tiny screen.  It was really cool and I decided I might have to setup this gaming display as well.

The best thing about having a cool gaming display was the ease of which it can be setup by the average person.  All that’s really needed is an extra HDMI cable and Windows 7.  I tried to setup this configuration a while back and it only took me about 30 minutes.  I was really impressed.

Multiple Screen Computer

Using a multiple screen computer could be just the ticket that you company has been looking for, to increase your productivity and improve your company profits.  But don’t

http://dual-monitors.org/images/Surrogates-The-Movie-Super-pc-Multiple-Monitor-Computer-Display-Robot-Operator-multi-monitor-lcd-wall-system.JPG

http://dual-monitors.org/images/Surrogates-The-Movie-Super-pc-Multiple-Monitor-Computer-Display-Robot-Operator-multi-monitor-lcd-wall-system.JPG

take my word for it.  There have been countless reports done on the advantages of using a multiple screen computer.  Some people have claimed that it made a radical difference in the amount of work that they were able to do.  Believe it or not, the advantages are there and If you look at how it can help your business you will probably decide that go for a multiple screen computer is the best move for your business as well.  And the best part is that setting up a multiple monitor computer is not difficult at all.

Setting up a multiple monitor computer is actually pretty easy.  Depending on how many monitors you’d like to use, it can be done in a matter of a few minutes in most cases.  And many of us already have the hardware to do this ourselves.  Let’s start with those of us that don’t need to buy any extra hardware.  In particular, laptops typically have at least one additional video output, making it a simple plug and play operation.  You simply plug in your extra monitor, then go to control panel and enable the additional monitors.   In other situations, if you’d like to use multiple screens with your computer, then you may need to either install an additional video card, or use an adapter.

For laptop users and desktop users alike, using a multiple monitor adapter is an easy way to connect additional monitors to your computer.  Many people have found that this is the cheapest way to use additional monitors with their computer, especially with laptops, where adding an additional video card may prove particularly challenging.  The alternative, an adapter, is a cheap solution.  Simply plug in the adapter, and viola! You have additional monitors.  The most popular adapter around is called the DualHead2Go and TripleHead2Go and it’s made by a company called Maxtor.  They have been around for quite some time and are considered industry leaders in multiple screen computer technology.

For those of you that would prefer to avoid using adapters, it’s understandable.  The downside is that they can be a big more expensive than additional video cards.  They also create yet another cord that you must hide on your desktop.  If you own a desktop computer and want to expand to a multiple screen computer, then the easiest bet is probably to add a few additional video cards, assuming that you have an extra PCI slot or 2.  Doing this isn’t all that hard, although opening up your computer may intimidate you.   Once you open up your computer, you simply need to check for additional slots in which you can insert an extra graphics card.  Once you’ve installed, then all you have to do is boot back up and go into windows control panel to configure your new monitors.

Now is the time to grow your business, and using a multiple screen computer is the way to do it.  Although many people don’t realize it, it’s actually quite easy to convert your single monitor computer into a multiple screen computer using a few tools.  One of the easiest way to do this is with multiple monitor adapters.  Another way that you can convert your single monitor computer into a multiple monitor computer is by installing a new graphics card.  Regardless of how you accomplish this, make sure you check out multi-monitors.com for all of your components and needs.

Multiple Monitor Arrangement

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUponSave on DeliciousDigg ThisSubmit to reddit

My visit to New York, a convention of computer nerds, a few months ago turned into quite a productive time.  While I was there I got to visit some of the powerhouse day traders that use a multiple monitor arrangement to power their trades.  It was quite an experience

http://dual-monitors.org/images/Multiple-Monitor-Wall-Multi-Screen-Control-Room-Computer-Console-Video-Super-pc-3.JPG

http://dual-monitors.org/images/Multiple-Monitor-Wall-Multi-Screen-Control-Room-Computer-Console-Video-Super-pc-3.JPG

and I wanted to share with you how some of these guys were using their multiple monitor computers and the type of multiple monitor arrangements that they were using.  The crazy thing about these guys is that they’ve been using incredibly powerful Super-PCs for years, and most them just kind of assume that you are too.  So I really had to drill them on the perks of their particular multi-monitor arrangement and why they might be using it.

The first guy that I talked with had a penthouse on Wall St. and he was quite unapologetic about it.  He referred to himself as the Jew that sells things people can’t afford to those who don’t need it.  In fact, he was bragging about how if he ran out of things to sell, he’d just make something up!  You don’t get much more Wall St. than this guy, let me tell you.  Anyways, he what really important here is that this guy had an 8 monitor, multiple monitor arrangement that took up the better part of a wall.  As you can imagine seeing these monitors stacked, 2 on top of each, straight across his wall, was pretty cool.  He is the type of guy that talks a big game, but runs an even bigger one.  He trades stocks and bonds and really knows his stuff.   He told me a lot of cool tips, but one of the things that stands out the most to me was hearing that most of the time, it’s just about being in the right place at the right time.  I thought about this for a minute, and he later confirmed that I was correct in thinking, that having multiple monitors is what gives him the ability to really visualize the market, almost like it’s in 3-D and then make trades accordingly.  It really made sense.  His multiple monitor arrangement was at the heart of being able to make smart market decisions quickly and on time.

I pressed him for information on what was powering his multiple monitor arrangement.  Apparently hardware is relatively important.  He said that the most important aspects of any multiple monitor computer was the processor, RAM (or memory) and the video cards.  In his case he was using an Intel i7 with 6 gigabytes of ram.  The machine was really powerful.  It could easily run the 8 monitors that shaped like a “C” and surrounding his multi-monitor workstation.  When I got to test drive his system I found it impressive that his multiple monitor arrangement didn’t cause neck or eye-strain because of the way it was positioned.  This had been a concern of mine when I first thought about dealing with these mega multi-monitor systems.  Once again, I was proved mistaken and took this as a lesson.

My next series of questions were really about where and when he bought his multiple monitor arrangement.  He told me that initially he had considered building a system on his own, but decided that he’d rather consult with an expert to build his system.  After a lot of deliberation, he decided on multi-monitors.com because they have a good reputation for really high quality computers and being experts in an industry where there are few true experts.  Multi-monitors.com has been around since 2006 and provides multiple monitor arrangements for some of the nation’s biggest groups, including the Navy.  They’ve become a reliable source for all things multiple monitors.

If you’ve been considering purchasing a multiple monitor arrangement, now is the time to do it.  There are lots of great benefits to running a multiple monitor computer, but probably the best is simply that will allow you to both increase and improve your business.  If you are not sure where to buy your new multiple monitor arrangement, then consider multi-monitors.com.  They come highly recommended because of their professionalism and high quality products.

Matrox M9188 PCIe x16 Makes Building a Display Way Easy

As far as video wall solutions go, it can be challenging to find a solution that meets both cost and technical constraints.   The Matrox M9188 is a multi-screen Octal card for graphics that was designed for those that need to visualize large amounts of data in order to

http://dual-monitors.org/images/ATI-Windows-7-Desktop-Multiple-Monitors-Video-Wall-Flight-Simulator-Computer-System-Superpc.JPG

http://dual-monitors.org/images/ATI-Windows-7-Desktop-Multiple-Monitors-Video-Wall-Flight-Simulator-Computer-System-Superpc.JPG

effectively make decisions.    What’s more, it is the first single slot PCI card that offers octal output and even supports both display port and DVI single link outputs- making it compatible with nearly all of today’s monitors.  It also comes standard with 2 GB of memory and includes desktop management features like independent and stretched desktop modes.

Some of my favorite features of the Matrox M9188 include the high resolution output on 8 monitors.  It actually supports upto 2560×1600 and 1920×1200 (on DVI).  It includes 2 GB of memory which leads to increased performance in programs that require a lot of resources.   The Matrox M9188 also includes edge overlap technology which helps create a seamless blending effect on images by adjusting the number of overlapping pixels.  For video walls, this technology is absolutely essential.

Multi card support is a huge perk with Matrox M9188 because it means that by using additional cards in the same system, you can drive up to 16 displays.  This is perfect for tradeshow or day traders alike.  And the Matrox Clone feature is backed up by this because it means a perfect 1×1 display.

Another one of my favorite features of the Matrox M9188 is the multiple operating support which includes drives for the latest version of Windows (Windows 7 both 32 and 64 bit) as well as Windows Vista 32 and 64 bit, Window XP 32 and 64 bit and Windows Server 32 and 64 bit.  They also include drivers for Linux, which can’t be said about a vast majority of video controllers on the market.  This means easy cross over for those of you that prefer the older operating systems such as XP because of the stability it offers.

If cost is a factor, this is actually a pretty cost effective solution for most people in the market for a video wall.  One f the Matrox M0188 cards will set you back around $2300 from Multi-Monitors.com, although if you end up buying it from other retailers they tend to be closer to $2600 (hint-hint go visit Multi-Monitors.com first and last if you’re trying to save some money.  Compared with some of the other video controllers on the market this is quite a bit less expensive, yet it offers more features to some degree.  Where you’ll lose is that it’s not an “all in one” custom solution, like some NEC products.  But because you’ll be able to pick your own monitors/screens you might end up getting a slightly more bang for your buck in the long.   I’m a huge fan of Matrox and their multiple monitor technologies and this piece of equipment is no exception.

Multiple Monitor Desktop

Purchasing a multiple monitor desktop for your home or business will be a huge benefit for

you and your business.  This is undeniable.  Those that have stretched their desktops from one monitor to two or even many more have found that having a multiple monitor desktop is a huge benefit for you and your business.  In fact, there are those have said that they were able to considerably grow their business just based on having a multiple monitor desktop alone.  How, you ask?   Well the answer is actually quite simple.  Being able to do more while you work is a huge boon for your business- the old saying goes something like, “a penny saved is a penny earned.”  And now more than ever, this old saying is certainly true.  To get a competitive edge, you really must have some type of advantage over your competition, and a multiple monitor desktop is just that.

According to many of the experts in the field, using a multiple monitor desktop will result in a higher rate of productivity because of several reasons.  One reason is that you’ll be able to better visualize your entire work environment.  Having three monitors or more, you can dedicate a monitor to each task, project or program and easily see how everything works together.  Additionally, you will save quite a bit of time because you will no longer have to switch back and forth between programs.  Everything will be in front of you, making it easier to use multiple programs simultaneously.

When I went to visit a prominent lawyer across town a few weeks ago, I noticed that he just set up a multiple monitor desktop in his office.  Out of curiosity, I asked him why he had decided to use a multiple monitor desktop, instead of single monitor computer.  He smirked as though I had asked some trade secret.  But then he was kind enough to oblige me (and I was most appreciative.)  He said that he had been had been using his multiple monitor desktop for several weeks because of his 2nd career.  In addition to practicing law he also runs a day trading company and trades currency (sometimes referred to as FOREX trading.)  He then informed me that the perk to using a multiple monitor desktop for day trading was visualization.  Because day trading and FOREX (currency exchange) both involve being able to visualize a lot of things at once.  Each monitor of his multiple monitor desktop has a specific purpose and serves that purpose well.

The lawyer then went on to tell me how he was able to use multiple monitors for a variety of purposes outside of his day trading and FOREX businesses.  For example, much of his legal research now takes place online in giant databases that he pays to access.  He’s able to use those databases, spread out across multiple screens to help better research for cases he may be working on at the time.  In addition, he sometimes just uses the multiple monitors for purposes such as looking at email or browsing the web.  Regardless of the purpose, he’s found that having a multiple monitor desktop is a huge advantage, both on a personal and business level.

When I started talking with this particularly lawyer about where he purchased his multiple monitor desktop, he was very quick to respond, “multi-monitors.com.”   “And why did you purchase from them?” I pressed.    He said that there were a few reasons that he felt like Multi-Monitors.com was the best place to buy a multiple monitor computer.  The top of which was because they’ve been in business longer than most of the other companies that specialize in multi-monitor computer systems.  But more than that, he said that when he called, he got to talk with someone that really knew what they were talking about.  They seemed to understand the ends and outs of multi-monitor computer systems.    On top of that, pricewise they are very competitive.  The closest competitor is thousands of dollars more for the system he bought.  I guess that’d be enough to make just about anyone select multi-monitors.com.

If you’ve been considering a multiple monitor computer, then you are making a smart choice.  Companies of all types and sizes have been using multiple monitors to grow their business, increase productivity and accomplish more.  Buying a multiple monitor desktop from the right company is key, and after talking to someone that uses their multiple monitor computer for several common reason, it’s been determined that multi-monitors.com is the best place to purchase your multi-monitor desktop.  While you may still be undecided about what you need (exactly), you should give them a call and discuss you’re various needs.  They should be able to help you build a computer that meets whatever specifications you desire.

Monitor Walls

Using a monitor wall for your trade show display, in store advertisements or even in the

office for large visual displays has become popular.  However, many people still aren’t sure how to setup a monitor wall.  In this article I’m going to describe the hardware and software that you can use to setup your own video wall.  I’m going to try and narrow down both the pros and cons of each, and include some basic information such as where you can buy the products I’m describing.

One of the easiest tools that you can use is called the Xtreme4vs video wall controller.  It recognizes both DVI-D and dual-link DVI input.  The cool thing about that is setup for your office or tradeshow display is super easy, because you can use many devices to drive the content of your display.  Everything from laptops to gaming consoles can be used.   Additionally, the Xtreme4vs was designed for LCD and DLP screens, but also handles projectors are wall cubes as well.  The Xtreme4vs can be used to drive up to 4 monitors, but what’s really cool is that you can actually link multiple units, giving you the ability to create a display of up to 16 monitors- truly a video wall!  Cost of on this monitor will run around $1699 from multi-monitors.com or $2299 from one of the many other dealers on the web.

Another popular video controller is the iVu9s, which is a popular model for those doing medical video walls and even satellite imagery.    This is a ultra-high resolution video controller designed for video walls of up to 9 screens with up to 1920×1200 resolution!  For those that are seeking ultra-high resolution, the iVu9s is probably your answer.

One of the best features of the iVu9s is the OSD keypad that is located on the front of the video wall controller.  This means super easy to use interface that allows for the easiest control.  Like the Xtreme4vs, the iVu9s can control both LCD and DLP screens.  It also drives video wall cubes and projectors.

Another nice feature of the iVu9s is the ease of being able to hookup a number of convenient configurations such as 3×3, 2×3 and 3×2 mode.  This means you can determine what configuration works best.  And because the iVu9s has a powerful bezel mask function, high resolution graphics will align perfectly.  While not aligning properly might be a mere annoyance for some video wall operators, for those looking at high resolution imagery such as satellite or medical images will find this feature especially important.

And one final feature of the iVu9s that you should consider is the RS-232 communication which means you can remotely control your video wall with your computer or laptop.   This is particularly cool for those that may be driving the screens remotely- such as a company setting up a trade show display, but not being able to attend!

Cost of the iVu9s is $2700 from multi-monitors.com or if you buy elsewhere, the MSRP is $3299.  The iVu9s is an economical choice for a video wall controller and should definitely be taken into consideration.

If you don’t mind spending a bit more cash, then the next step up is NEC’s TileMatrix.  As you’re probably aware, NEC tends to be the high end of digital signage.  It’s no secret that NEC uses premium quality parts, including panels that have enhanced digital signage technology suite embedded.  In this somewhat small and high competitive niche, NEC is the clear leader.  And when it comes to extra-large video displays, TileMatrix is no exception.  It certainly isn’t the cheapest option, but it blows away competition.   A full 55” of display arranged as a 2×2 configuration is one of the most awe inspiring setups that you can find.  And to make it better, TileMatrix has a lock down on a patent that creates what some consider the closest to seamless wall that you can find.  And making it even better is the fact that you don’t need any special equipment out of the Tilematrix to make it run!

One feature that I can really appreciate (and you should too) is the copy feature.  Essentially this feature allows you to setup one display and then apply it to multiple others.  You will appreciate the time this saves you in the long run!  Tilematrix also has RS-232 remote connectivity which uses Naviset software.  This makes remote setup via proxy extremely easy to do.

Because NEC uses high end parts and patented technology you can expect to around $37,000 retail.  However, because this is a one stop solution, in the end it may only end up being a few thousand more than their closest competition.  You can also plan on paying less if you shop at multi-monitors where you can purchase 55” NEC TIleMatrix for $33,000.

Another option from NEC is their 82” TileMatrix screen.   This means a full 27 feet of display that uses Tilecomp for amazing seamless bezel.    This 82” monster costs just under $50,000, but provides the extra space you may need to make a huge impression!  Because ambient lighting obstacles can be an issue, this display has high contrast, at 2000:1 to help overcome this.

Another popular NEC model is the MultiSync p461 which is 2x2x46 display. This means 2 flat panels giving you a huge display.  It comes with Digital Factory PerfectAlign mounting system making alignment super easy and only runs $12,995 at multi-monitors.com.   This is a good solution for those on a budget that still want the reliability and performance of an NEC video wall display.

For those that already have the hardware to drive a multiple monitor video wall, but want better and easier configuration, the VigiControl Video/Data Wall controller software may be your best bet.  You’ll appreciate how this software makes connecting and controlling multiple monitors a breeze, especially since you can connect through a LAN to do so.  VigiControl allows you to control stand alone Windows application programs such as positioning and even layout.  The result is easier to organize large displays, which can be challenging when trying to do this with Windows alone.

Vigicontrol also makes screen order much easier with its screen order utility- and if you combine this with VigiControl’s bezel masking feature- alignment is much easier too.  And organizing your application windows is easy too because DigiControl displays the desktop of the video wall server that is being managed.

Vigicontrol also has a really cool feature that helps avoid gaps in the video by using new technology that spreads images across breaks- the result is gaps being reduced and your original image is preserved.  VigiControl also has a function to split captured windows (both DVI and GGB) and allows scaling of each.  Cropping is then possible for each subbed individual window, a total of up to 16 windows.  Security officials often use this feature to monitor multiple windows per screen.

Cost wise, you can buy VigiControl Video and Data Wall Controller form Multi-Monitors.com for $1100, or from other retailers at the MSRP of $1299.  Either way it’s a steal consider the advantages it give you when setting up your video wall!

And finally, one other piece of equipment that I think is worth mentioning is the Matrox M9188 PCIe x16- a multi-cable card that connects up to 8 monitors to one computer system.   This is all done through one PCI slot, as opposed to the many typically needed for a multiple monitor computer.   It even supports DVI single link outputs, so it’s compatible with nearly all of today’s monitors.  Standard includes high resolution output on 8 monitors, possible because of it’s included 2 GB of memory and desktop management features.  Resolution of up to 2560×1600 is possible for DVI outputs.  Also, Matrox M9188 PCIe x16 has edge overlap technology incorporated, to create a seamless look, similar to what NEC tried to accomplish with their TileComp technology.  For video walls, this is not a perk, it’s a necessity!

It’s worth noting that the Matrox M9188 PCIe x16 allows multi-card support, meaning that  the same system can drive up to 16 different displays.  For trade show experts this is huge.  The Matrox Clone feature allows for the perfect 1×1 display!

The Matrox M9188 PCIe x16 also supports most Windows 32 and 64 bit operating systems, as well as Linux drivers.  Sadly, this is one of the few that provides open support for Linux users.  Easy crossover support is a huge perk for many setting up video walls, especially those that might use the multi-monitor PC for multiple purposes, trade show and otherwise.

Cost factor for the Matrox M9188 PCIe x16 is pretty reasonable.  From multi-monitors.com you can get the Matrox M9188 PCIe x16 for $2300 (although you’ll pay around $2600 from many other retailers.)

As you can see there are quite a few options for setting up your video wall, and these are just a few of the many options for setting up a video wall.  However, I think there are a few things that you’ll find as you research your video wall more.  Number one, I think you’ll discover that these options listed above represent a good variety of what you might find on the market.  Number two, I think you’ll discover that these products represent a median of what you can expect to pay for multi-monitor or video wall software.  It shouldn’t come as a surprise to you that most of these products are available through specialized shops, such as multi-monitors.com or similar.  And while you may be able to find many of these products though other retailers, multi-monitors.com has the best prices around.  If you add to that fact that they also often lack the knowledge and expertise that the guys over at multi-monitors.com have, it’s easy to answer the question, “Where should I be buying my video wall controller.”

In fact, the guys over at multi-monitors.com have even helped setup controllers for some of the United States biggest organizations, which include the U.S. Navy and other branches of the military.  They’ve also help setup video walls for several companies for trade show displays and more.  Now surely that’s a good enough reason to consider them for your multiple-monitor video wall projects.  Just remember, this that in this industry, like so many others, you get quality from a well researched buy and buying from Multi-Monitors.com is a well researched company that you should certainly be considering when you setup your video wall!

is a think of the past.  You should pat yourself on the back because this is the work of someone that has purchased monitor arrays and is using multiple monitors to get more done, while cutting waste.  This is the work of someone that wants to achieve their goals by using better technology and tools to get more done.  This isn’t about looking cool; this is about making your business grow.  Using monitor arrays you can accomplish more because in a business where being able to see and visualize a lot of different things at once is so vital, having monitor arrays actually makes this possible.  This is the wave of the future and you are right in the middle of it.

So who can use monitor arrays to grow their business?   Well the short answer is anyone.  Here are the facts- those that use multiple monitors the most tend to be in the financial field, but that certainly doesn’t mean that anyone can’t use a multiple monitor array.  It just means that those in the financial field typically have the most to visualize and therefore need more monitors.  The fact of the matter is that regardless of what type of work you do, you’ll can use multiple monitors to improve both the amount of work you do and the quality of that work.  Because here’s the thing, if you are doing a ton of work, then you want to be able to maximize your profits.  Using monitor arrays can help you do this.

Apparently I’m not the only one that recognizes the power of monitor arrays either.  In fact, more and more people that are not day traders have started to use monitor arrays as well.  There are quite a few industries that see multiple monitor computers as standard technology.  It is a growing trend.  Some of the other fields that use multiple monitors include scientists, doctors, lawyers and engineers.  Each group may have their own specific reason to want to use a multiple monitor computer, but when it comes down to it, monitor arrays make work easier.

Buying a multiple monitor computer shouldn’t be a huge headache for you since there are a number of companies around that offer their services.  You can literally have them build the computer to your exact specifications, but if you aren’t sure what you want or need in the computer, you can also have them help you design your perfect monitor array.  One multiple monitor company really stands out above the rest, Multi-Monitors.com, also known as Super-PC.  They are a fantastic company that really knows how to take care of their customers.  And moreover, they’ve been around since 2006 are truly experts in the monitor array field.  It is undeniable- if you’re going to buy a monitor array, multi-monitors.com is the place to do it!

Hex Monitor Display

A hex monitor display (or a 6 monitor computer) is a valuable tool for many of those involved in the day trading or FOREX markets.  In fact, most industry insiders agree that using a multiple monitor computer is necessary to being able to properly run your day trading business.  If you are wondering how having a hex monitor display will help you

http://dual-monitors.org/images/ATI-Windows-Desktop-Multiple-Monitors-Six-6-Hex-LCD-Multi-Screen-Desktop-Computer-System-World-of-Warcraft-WOW-Superpc.JPG

http://dual-monitors.org/images/ATI-Windows-Desktop-Multiple-Monitors-Six-6-Hex-LCD-Multi-Screen-Desktop-Computer-System-World-of-Warcraft-WOW-Superpc.JPG

business, then consider this:  day traders must consistently be able to visualize and process a large amount of data simultaneously.  Having a computer system with multiple monitors is one of the tools that will allow you to visualize data in the way that needs to be done.  A hex monitor display should be a key component of your business, especially if you are in the financial sector and have to view multiple charts, graphs and pages all at once.

Building a hex monitor display is not as challenging as you might think and can be done for a reasonable amount of money.  So what do you need to make your hex monitor display run smoothly?  There are 5 key components that you should consider.  First, the processor- my favorite tends to be the i7- it’s a powerful dual core processor that can easily handle the demands of 6 monitors as well as any applications you may need to run.  Second, using enough RAM, or memory as some people call it, is absolutely essential.  A minimum of 2 GB is necessary, but you’ll likely want to double that to avoid some of the problems associated with not having enough RAM.  Next you need to consider your graphics card.  The NVIDIA, Firepro and ATI all make quality cards.  Prices vary from as little as a few hundred, all the way up to several thousand dollars.  For most users, a $300-$600 video card(s) will be fine.

If you have questions about exactly what you should be getting, don’t worry.  There are a few companies out there that specialize in high end hex monitor displays.  One such company is multi-monitors.com.  They’ve been selling multiple monitor computers, such as a hex monitor display since 2006 and have a bit more experience than some of the other companies out there.  I highly recommend you give them a shot if you are considering purchasing a hex monitor display.  You won’t be disappointed.

So what should you be looking for when you go to hire a day trading computer company?  Well, you should be looking for a company with the experience and know how to build an awesome computer with power to run the programs necessary to day trade successfully.  You may be wondering, how do you know when you’ve found this type of day trading computer company?  The answer is that you want to find a day trading computer company that has been around for a while and has the experience to know how to best build a day trading computer.  Multiple monitor computers are an essential part of life for the average day trader, so this should be very important when you are piecing new equipment.

One such company is multi-monitors.com.  They’ve been in the industry for over 5 years and really understand what’s required to build a solid multiple monitor computer.  If you have any doubt, take a look around the web.  They have the absolute best reputation and will be able to build a solid multi-screen computer for you.  As far as day trading computer companies go, multi-monitors is the best in the market.  Their computers excel in performance and their experts can help you build a custom computer that will meet your specific needs exactly.  They are one of the best companies in the business.

AutoCAD Computer

Engineers have known for years that it takes a special kind of computer to run a program called AutoCAD- an engineering design program.  This program uses a lot of system resources and requires a bit of special engineering when building the computer.  That’s right, if you are going to use AutoCAD, you really should be using an AutoCAD computer.

http://dual-monitors.org/images/Multiple-Monitors-Testing-and-Measurement-Console-Desk-Superpc.JPG

http://dual-monitors.org/images/Multiple-Monitors-Testing-and-Measurement-Console-Desk-Superpc.JPG

So what’s the difference between an AutoCAD computer and a computer that you would buy at any old retail shop?  Well, an AutoCAD computer is specifically designed to handle large amounts of data very quickly.  An AutoCAD computer is made to run graphic intense and resource demanding engineering design program.

So where can you buy an AutoCAD computer?  Well, one of the easiest ways to get an auto is to talk with a company that builds AutoCAD computers specifically.  One such company is a company called Multi-Monitors.com.  They specialize in multi-monitor computers, but they also design and build custom computers that are specifically designed to handle resource demanding programs such as AutoCAD.  If you are shopping for an AutoCAD computer then these are the go to guys.  Buying from someone else or (an even worse idea) trying to build the AutoCAD computer yourself will result in poor performance, or a computer that isn’t able to hand the work load which you are trying to assign it.

If you are an engineer or you work for an engineering firm that uses AutoCAD, the best way to ensure that you get the most value out of AutoCAD and out of your computer, is to use an AutoCAD computer.  You should rely on the opinion of an expert when you design this computer, or you may end up with a machine that’s unable to do its job effectively.

TileMatrix is the Video Wall Solution

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUponSave on DeliciousDigg ThisSubmit to reddit

NEC has a long history of delivering first to market and best to market video solutions, from consumer monitors, all the way up to digital signage.   In fact, many consider them industry leaders.  They command the market and when it comes to large digital displays, there is no exception.  The TileMatrix is the large video wall solution for those that want to make a serious impress.  At a staggering 55” the 2×2 LCD Tilematrix is not to be ignored.

http://dual-monitors.org/images/Multiple-Monitor-Wall-Multi-Screen-Control-Room-Computer-Console-Video-Super-pc-3.JPG

http://dual-monitors.org/images/Multiple-Monitor-Wall-Multi-Screen-Control-Room-Computer-Console-Video-Super-pc-3.JPG

It’s easy to use and cost effective solution is perfect for a large digital sign or simply as an information display.  Tilemaxtrix uses patented technology to create an unbelievably narrow bezel that provides what some consider seamless wall.  The fact that you don’t need additional equipment to make it run is a huge advantage as well.

NEC uses premium quality parts, and for their video panels they use premium grade panels that have enhanced digital signage technology suite embedded.  This is a necessity if you’re going to use the monitors to max capacity (a full 10×10 wall display.)

What are a few perks to using the Tilematrix?  One of my favorites is the copy function.  This doesn’t sound so important, but it makes set up super easy.  Here’s how: it allows you apply the settings from one display to all over the other displays with the click of a button (or two) saving you a ton of time when you are setting up for the first time.  Another perk is the thin bezel that rivals the smallest in the industry- only 5.5 s2s (screen to screen) width.

Another perk of TIleMatrix is the ability to remote control the display via RS-232 connectivity which uses Naviset software and is DDC and CI standard.  This is extremely convenient for those wish setup remotely and test via proxy.  This feature is becoming more common, but still isn’t considered standard in an industry that changes on a routine basis.

Because NEC is top of the line the cost of their products tends to be a bit more expensive then some of their competitors, retailing at about $37,000. There are two things that you should keep in mind if you are considering the TileMatrix versus some of her competitors.  Number one- NEC is a top of the line company, and as such, they include an insurance program with their product, as well as top quality components.  You won’t find this with other providers.  The 2nd thing you should keep in mind is that many other competitors don’t sell an all in one solution.  Generally speaking you will end up buying both screens and screen controllers.  NEC simplifies this by making their system all inclusive.  Purchasing from a company like Multi-Monitors.com can help slash your bill as well, as they offer this product at a discount price of $33,000.  NEC’s Tilematrix really is the all in one solution because of its easy use, setup and execution.  If you want the best, use NEC’s TileMatrix.
